Overview
Semaglutide is a glucagon-like peptide-1 (GLP-1) receptor agonist. It works on receptors in the brain and gut to support satiety, slow gastric emptying, and improve insulin response. In adults pursuing weight care, it may help reduce food noise and support adherence to a calorie-controlled approach when paired with lifestyle changes.
